A snap shackle is a fast action fastener which can be implemented single handed. It uses a spring activated locking mechanism to close a hinged shackle and can be unfastened under load. Also known as a pelican clip.

The sliding sleeve offers wide opening, and quick release and tensioning. 6.4mm (1/4") diameter hole.
Looped eye at one end for attaching wire.
