This sailing knife is stainless steel throughout. The knife will not corrode under normal conditions (it should never be put away wet).

The knife blade is ideal for cutting lines and sheets in any emergency. The shackle key has a good range of angles to suit most popular mid-sized shackles plus it is useful to unscrew fuel deck fillers.

To keep this sailing knife blade sharp it should be sharpened on an oilstone or sharpening steel to an angle of approx 20 degrees.
