Vetus Anti Siphon Device with Valve 13-32mm hose

Description

Prevents seawater flowing back through the exhaust and flooding the engine.

If the point where the cooling water is injected into the exhaust is less than 15cm above the waterline, then when the engine is stopped, there is a risk that cooling water will siphon into the exhaust system, and subsequently into the engine itself. Such siphoning may be prevented by fitting the Vetus anti siphon vent at least 40cm above the waterline.

Type ASD model can be connected to hoses with internal diameters of Ø 13, 19, 25 and 32 mm (½”, ¾”, 1” and 1¼”).

This vent is interchangeable with type AIRVENT and have the same fixing hole centers. The advantage is that the air bleed connection rotates through 360°. In addition, the valve can be maintained without removing the vent from the wall and no tools are required to do this. For replacement, a set with 5 valves is available as a spare part.
