After the successful release of the 701, 720 and 721 battery switches, BEP has responded to customer feedback concerning some installations where switches need to be recessed through varying thicknesses of panels.
New in 2006 the panel mount range of battery switches are designed specifically for panel mount applications. This range gives a very compact, versatile solution with the following features:

The 720 Heavy Duty Battery Switch follows the successful release of the 701 switch in 1999. It fits into the same contour lock system as used on the battery distribution system.
The 720-MDO is a high current (500A), remotely activated battery switch.
Remote operation allows the battery switch positioned where cable runs can be minimized. Reduced cable runs allow smaller section cable to be used, resulting in significant reductions in cable cost, plus weight savingsThe 720-MDO Version 8 has new installation options, whereby the motor/circuit board can be fed from an independent 12V or 24V supply.
The 720-MDO-EP (Emergency Parallel Switch) provides remotely activated, high current, emergency parallel connection of two battery banks for a 10 minute period following activation of the remote switch.
The BEP 721 Battery Selector Switch is a heavy duty selector switch. Housed in the same module as the 720, it includes the same removable plates and back cover. While BEP Marine recommends isolated battery systems as outlined with our distribution clusters, the 721 offers a simple economical way of separating two batteries.

The DVSR (Digital Voltage Sensing Relay) allows charging of two independent battery banks from a single charging source. When the voltage on the start battery rises to a charged level, the DVSR engages allowing the 2nd battery to charge. When charging stops and voltage falls, the DVSR will disengage, isolating the two batteries from each other.
